Day 1  Dos Palmas Airport in Alajuela or Dos Palmas Country Inn in La Garita
After you arrived at Juan Santamaría international airport in Alajuela, close to the capital city of San José, you will be picked up and taken either to Dos Palmas Airport or to Dos Palmas Country Inn, for you to choose. After a ride of 5 minutes (Dos Palmas Airport) or 15 minutes (Dos Palmas Country Inn) you can relax and acclimatize in tropical Costa Rica. Day 2,3 and 4 Heliconia Island River Lodge in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí
Heliconia Island River Lodge: what’s in a name, it is situated on an island between two rivers. The beautiful garden with heliconias and other tropical plants is famous. You can see many birds and monkeys in the garden. Furthermore you can visit pineapple and banana plantations, make a tour on the river or have a look at the biological center Selva Verde. >Heliconia Island River Lodge<

Day 5, 6 and7  Monte Terras in Tronadora
In the province of Guanacaste you will sleep in a cheerful cabin at Monte Terras. From here you can see Arenal volcano. And of course you can make a hike on the foot of this volcano, you will even walk on the lava rocks that came down in 1992. Another possibility is a visit to Monteverde cloud forest. There you can walk across the hanging bridges or make a canopy tour, or go to  Rio Celeste, Rincón de la Vieja National Park with bubbling mud pools and  Palo Verde Park.  >Monte Terras<

Day 8, 9 and 10 Aroma de Campo in Curubandé.
In the north of Costa Rica you will find Aroma de Campo, where you will stay in a colorful cabin. The most important attraction of this nice hotel is Rincón de la Vieja volcano. There is a number of hikes you can make, alongside waterfalls, bubbling mud pools and sulfurous vapors. The most spectacular hike is the one to the crater, which will take you about seven hours. On your way you will see a variety of trees and orchids, while monkeys are frolicking around in the trees. >Aroma de Campo<

Day 11, 12 and 13  Fidelito Ranch&Lodge in Tambor or Beach Hotel Celaje in Cabuya
Fidelito Ranch & Lodge is situated on the Nicoya Peninsula. The lodge is situated in the jungle-clad hills of Tambor. An excursion on the 150 acre ranch is included. You can also go horseback riding, ride a bicycle, hike or just relax at the large beach. Day 14, 15 and 16 Mar de Luz  in  Jacó
Then you will go to Jacó. The hotel is situated at one minute walking distance from the center of Jacó, where you can find nice shops and restaurants. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. A visit to Manuel Antonio National Park and a boat ride on the crocodile river are possible. In Carara National Park you can see the scarlet macaws. Day 17, 1 and 19 Casa Botania in San Vito or Rancho Burica at the beach of Punta Banco
Take a dip in the natural hotsprings, visit the largest botanical garden in Central America ‘Wilson Botanical Garden’, bird watching with owner-guide Pepe and finish the day with a fine Costarican-Belgian dinner; it is all possible in this cozy B&B close to the Panamanian border. > Casa Botania<

In the months of January – April you can sometimes spot humpback whales, but in the period of July – October you can be almost sure to see these enormous see animals during a boat ride on the Pacific. Day 23 and 24  Dos Palmas or Hotel Bougainvillea in Santo Domingo de Heredia.
The last 2 days you will stay at one of our hotels around San José. Make an trip to La Paz Waterfalls or Irazú Volcano, or visit the coffee plantations. Hotel Bougainvillea has a wonderful garden. Day 25
Departure from San José, you will be taken to the airport.

Of course a lot of different daytours are possible from each hotel. We only mentioned a few here. Prices depend on your choices and based on 2 persons. Are you travelling with more people, do you want a longer or shorter stay in some hotels, or lengthen or shorten your trip. That is possible.
